Dr. Laura Mackey
Dr. Mackey grew up in Fayetteville, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia for her undergrad and then attended the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine. She went on to complete a small animal emergency and critical care internship in Richmond, Virginia. After completing her internship, she moved back to Georgia to practice emergency and critical care medicine for more than 4 years in the metro area. She began doing relief for New Hope in March of 2017 and became full-time in October 2017. Her interests are in an emergency and critical care, soft tissue surgery, and wound management.
Dr. Mackey currently lives in Smyrna, Georgia with her fiancé. She is often found at the beach, lake, or sporting events, and is an avid Georgia fan. She has three dogs, Guinness, Kona, and Abita, and two cats, Julep and Fireball.
